Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Clean Player (“we”, “the app”, cleanplayer.cc) handles information when you use our mobile application and related website.
1. Summary
- Clean Player is a local media player. Your music and video files stay on your device.
- We do not create a Clean Player cloud account or upload your media library to our servers.
- Optional purchases (lifetime ad-free) go through Google Play Billing.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information the app uses
2.1 On your device
- Media files - scanned or opened from device storage / MediaStore with your permission, for playback only.
- Local settings - theme, equalizer, video preferences, library cache, and donate unlock status stored in app preferences / local files.
- Playlists - stored in a local SQLite database on the device.
2.2 Permissions
Depending on Android version, the app may request:
- Read media audio / video (or storage on older Android)
- Notifications / foreground service for background music
- Internet - for Google Play purchases and optional website links (not required to play local files)
You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features will then stop working.
2.3 Purchases
If you buy the lifetime ad-free unlock, Google Play processes the payment. We receive a purchase confirmation from Play Billing so the unlock can be restored. Payment details are handled by Google, not by Clean Player servers.
2.4 Website
Visiting cleanplayer.cc may generate ordinary web-server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested, time) for security and site operations. We do not use advertising trackers on the marketing site as of the date above.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. Limited processing may involve:
- Hosting providers that run the website
- Google Play when you download the app or make an in-app purchase
4. Retention
- On-device settings, cache, and playlists remain until you clear app data or uninstall.
- Website server logs are retained only as needed for operations and security.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a small consumer app. Keep your device updated and protect access to your phone.
6. Children
Clean Player is a general consumer media app. It is not directed at children as a social or account product. Parents should supervise how devices and media are used.
7. Your choices
- Revoke media permissions in Android settings.
- Clear app storage or uninstall to remove local library cache and playlists.
